Time Crystal Canon is a slow six-voice canon that plays forward and then in reverse.

More details follow for the curious.

Each voice is in a different tuning (5EDO, 7EDO, 9EDO, 11EDO, 13EDO, and 17EDO) that have no exact notes in common other than the starting pitch. However, they have pitches that are very close, resulting in some nice beating patterns. The theme spans an octave, starting in the middle and proceeding chromatically upward and downward in alternation. using all the available notes until it reaches the highest and lowest notes in the octave. Unlike most canons, all the voices sound simultaneously, starting and ending together. When they reach the end, the entire canon is repeated in reverse, ending where it started.

The instrument design combines elements of a bell, plucked string, and sine tones.
